We are a biotechnology startup. We build scalable biomaterials from renewable sources and up to 100% biodegradable.

Biopolix was founded in 2016 under the mission of generating a biotechnological solution to promote sustainability. Currently, Biopolix is incubated at the Supera Incubator, the only Brazilian incubator in the top 20 incubators in the world.

Biopolix was built as a result of the founders' desire to produce a biomaterial to replace conventional plastic in large scale. This desire, combined with 25 years of academic research in the area of bioplastics by founding partner Dr Claire Tondo Vendruscolo, are key differentials of Biopolix.

The startup develops biotechnological solutions to reduce pollution in the environment with the use of bioplastics. In addition, Biopolix produces biomaterials for organizations in the health and food industries.
