Scalable biomaterials from renewable sources

The startup develops biotechnological solutions to reduce pollution in the environment with the use of bioplastics. In addition, Biopolix produces biomaterials for organizations in the health and food industries.

Biopolix - We develop biomaterials to accelerate the replacement of conventional plastics

Society relies on plastics for countless applications, but the need to reduce their environmental impact is driving the search for more sustainable materials. The challenge is to develop solutions that combine technical performance, industrial scalability, and a lower impact throughout their life cycle.

Biopolix Materiais Tecnológicos was founded to address this challenge.

We are a Brazilian deeptech company dedicated to developing innovative biomaterials from renewable sources. Our work combines scientific research, materials engineering, and innovation to create technologies that meet the needs of industries seeking more sustainable solutions.

Since 2016, we have been developing bioresins, biocomposites, biopolymers, and bioadhesive systems for a range of sectors, including packaging, single-use utensils, food, healthcare, and agribusiness. Our focus is on turning scientific knowledge into technologies ready for industrial scale-up and transfer to the market.

What sets us apart - Technology developed for industry

We offer technologies compatible with existing industrial machinery and processes, reducing barriers to adoption and accelerating the transition to materials from renewable sources.

Our work is based on applied research, technological validation, and collaboration with universities, research centers, companies, and institutions that support innovation.
